E-TEN Information Systems has just taken the wraps off two high-end, consumer-oriented smartphones, the Glofiish M810 and M750.
These devices are virtually identical. They will have the same form factor, which includes a 2.8-inch QVGA display and a sliding 33-key keyboard.
They will both run Windows Mobile 6 on a 500 MHz Samsung processor, and have 64 MB of RAM and 256 MB of ROM.
Each will include a 2-megapixel auto-focus camera, a SiRF Star III GPS receiver, microSD card slot, and a 1,530 mAh battery.
They will be 4.3 inches by 2.3 inches by 0.7 inches (109.5 x 59 x 17.5mm).
Differences
One of only two significant differences between these smartphones will be support for 3G wireless networking. Although both will offer quad-band GSM/GPRS/EDGE, Wi-Fi b/g, and Bluetooth 2.0, only the M810 will have tri-band HSDPA.
In addition, the M810 will have a front-facing fixed-focus 0.3 MP camera for video conferencing.
E-TEN says the Glofiish M810 and M750 should be available worldwide in two to three weeks. There is no word yet on pricing.
More information is available on the E-TEN web site.
