Sanyo announced its new Xacti DMX-HD800, a sleek, slim HD digital movie camera. The Xacti HD800 features a 1/2.5 inch 8 Megapixel CMOS sensor, a 5x optical zoom lens, 12x digital zoom, Digital Image Stabilizer (electronic), ISO sensitivity up to 1600, and a 2.7-inch LCD screen.
Sanyo’s HD800 is able to record 1280×720 HD 720p videos at 30fps. The camera offers also Flicker mitigation, Wind noise reduction, Face Chaser technology, 3-dimension Noise Reduction (3DDNR) technology. It utilize the AVC/H.264 codec for video encoding.
The Xacti HD800 will launch in Japan in three colors (Gold, Pink, Black) on August 22nd.
