LG Secret (KF750) Announced

2008-04-28 0 comments
LG Electronics, a worldwide technology and design leader in mobile communications, today announces the global launch of its third LG Black Label Series handset, the LG Secret (KF750).

Boasting style that lasts, the LG Secret has been specifically developed to satisfy the refined tastes of trendsetters who desire a sophisticatedly designed, yet durable handset. Following the success of its predecessors, the LG Chocolate and the LG Shine, this third model from the LG Black Label Series is as feature rich as it is stylish. At just 11.8mm thick, the LG Secret is the slimmest 5 megapixel camera phone on the market.

Skott Ahn, President and CEO of LG Electronics Mobile Communications, says, “Trends in the mobile phone market prove that today’s discerning consumer is looking for the ultimate mobile experience – style and substance. The great success of the previous LG Black Label Series models proved this and the LG Secret continues this style led technology legacy.”

The UNO - One Wheel Motorcycle

Uno: Is it a unicycle or a motorcycle

We haven’t seen anything quite like this and we assume you also wouldn’t have seen anything as fresh and as outrageous a concept like the Uno. Remarkably, an eighteen year old inventor, Ben J. Poss Gulak has put the radical Uno together and true to it’s name, the Uno is a motorcycle that has only one wheel. Weighing just over fifty four kilograms, the single seater Uno has two gyros which you keep you planted to terra firma, a little similar to the Segways. To go forward on this outrageous one-wheeled contraption, you just need to shift your weight forward and to go back, do the same backward. And if you want to stop moving, just need to tilt backwards. For all this to happen, you have a single switch to control the gyros which are wired to a microprocessor. The microprocessor takes the gyro inputs and make the electric motor of the Uno respond accordingly. Though it looks a little bizarre, the Uno is a pretty cool concept but I’m pretty pissed off that i can’t wheelie it. Jokes apart, you can catch a glimpse at the Uno at the 2008 National Motorcycle Show in Toronto that is happening today and tomorrow.

Samsung's S2 MP3 Player-Pebble

This new S2 MP3 player by Samsung might be one of the smallest MP3 players ever. Measuring out at 0.65 x 1.62 x 1.66-inches, and only weighing 0.03-pound, it has rightfully earned its nickname, which is Pebble.

Basically, the S2 comes with 1GB of internal memory and also an FM tuner. It plays MP3, WMA, and OGG, and comes in a few colors including green, purple, red, black, and white. The battery life on the S2 is pretty nice, although, considering its size, 13 hours isn’t too long on a single charge. However, it only takes 2 hours to fully charge, which isn’t too bad. There are a few buttons on the device, basically just play, pause, volume and playback options. If you want a small MP3 player then the Pebble may be one to consider.

Next up we have the S3, which is a PMP. Beginning with screen size, which measures in at 1.8-inches with a 240 x 320 resolution, and it comes in two different models, 4GB or 8GB. Otherwise, it measures in at 1.73 x 3.74 x 0.39-inches and weighs only 0.11-pounds. Also, it supports MP3, WMA, MPEG4 and even plays flash games. It lasts 25 hours when playing just audio, and 4 hours on video. Furthermore, it also has an FM tuner and comes in green, red, blue, black, and white.

With these two new MP3 players, Samsung is looking to make compactness and thinness a must, while maintaining good quality. No word on exact pricing as of yet, but it shouldn’t run you too deep, and it is set to go on sale in June. Via

Virtual Walls traffic stop lights

The Virtual Wall provides a barrier made up of plasma laser beams depicting pedestrians doing what they do best and any car that crosses that barrier suffers the consequences. Okay so maybe those lasers aren’t powerful enough to do any harm but the effect is enough to make drivers and pedestrians alike follow crosswalk rules to the tee.
